Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

Concordia University Texas has maintained a low positivity rate throughout the pandemic through a combination of risk mitigation, testing, and intervention.

Caring for people is a core value at Concordia University Texas. That’s why we are continuing to find ways to keep our Concordia community safe during the coronavirus pandemic.

The University’s leadership monitors and follows guidance from local, state, and national public health experts and makes the best possible decisions for the campus community with the information available.

Concordia’s campus is currently open and serving students in person. With new information issued by the CDC, Concordia University Texas will no longer require masks in indoor public spaces beginning Wednesday, March 2, 2022. This change means students, employees, and guests will not be required to wear masks on campus. Anyone who chooses to wear a mask may do so. However, they may not require anyone else to wear a mask. Masks would still be required for off-campus locations that require them, such as hospitals, medical facilities, schools, and other places that might still have mask requirements in place.

Read more about our COVID-19 Safety Guidelines to learn how we are partnering with our campus community to stay safe.

If you are a student, visit our Coronavirus (COVID-19) Student Information Center for more info.

Quarantine Procedures

Per updated CDC guidance, we now require individuals who test positive for COVID-19 to quarantine for five days instead of 10. Five days is the minimum duration provided the person is symptom-free. If symptoms persist, the quarantine period may need to be extended.
